Glory

Luke 9:28-50 We believe that full devotion to Christ (Living for God’s Glory) and fullness of life (Our Satisfaction) are one in the same pursuit (John10:10b; Luke9:23-25). We were created by God, for God, to give glory to God (Rom11:36). God’s glory is best displayed in lives that are fully satisfied in Him (Phil1:20-21).

Fully Devoted

Luke 9:18-27, 51-62 Desert Breeze exists to help upchurched people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that full devotion to Christ (God’s Glory) and fullness of life (Our Satisfaction) are one in the same pursuit (John10:10b, 17:3). There is a quantity and quality of life that is found in Christ that cannot be found anywhere else!

Heart

Luke 8:1-21 As you grow in your intimacy with God, the more you will sense deep in your heart the delight of the only eyes in the Universe that matter, transforming every part of your life (Rom8:16; 1John3:1). Intimacy with God

Luke 7:36-50 In our text we meet two people, one a very religious moral man and the other a very irreligious immoral woman. Both are drawn to Jesus, both are in the presence of Jesus, both are listening to Jesus’ teaching. But one leaves distant, indifferent and unchanged. The other leaves feeling close to God, lavished by His love and transformed by His grace. In a…

Soul Rx

Luke 6:1-11 “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart (soul) is restless until it finds its rest in you.”—Augustine (Confessions) There is a kind of soul rest that all the sleep and vacations in the world can’t give you. If your soul is healthy, no external circumstance can destroy your life. If your soul is unhealthy, no external circumstance can redeem your…

New Life

Luke 5:27-39 Jesus has just done something extraordinary in the presence of the religious leaders of Judaism (5:17). He had done what God alone can do (5:21). He had forgiven sins (5:20). In today’s passage, Jesus is going to effectually call a person named Levi to follow Him. Everyone would have agreed that Levi was in the group of the worst of the worst when it came to…

Complete Change

Luke 5:1-26 You cannot encounter Christ Jesus and live in communion with Him and remain the same. He will bring Complete Change to every area of your life so that you can experience not just a quantity of life but a quality of life unlike anything else (John 10:10b; 17:3). This is less about circumstances and more about our character because our circumstances matter far…
