Christmas is about life coming into our world of death through the birth of Jesus Christ the Lord. 3. Christmas is about glory coming into our world of emptiness through the birth of Jesus Christ the Lord.
John 1:14-18 We were created by God, for God, to See, Savor, and Show the Glory of God. Nothing is more life-liberating and soul-satisfying than enjoying the riches of God’s glory. The Glory of God is His Indescribable Greatness and Unimaginable Goodness. God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.
John 1:10-13 Advent is about the arrival of life in the midst of death. Life is one of the major themes of John’s gospel, where the word is used thirty six times. When it comes to this subject, we all know that it is possible to be alive, and yet not really have life in its fullest and truest sense. This true life is what we were made for.
