Exodus 1:1-22 Exodus means “the way out”. Genesis is the book of beginnings and Exodus is the book of redemption. To redeem means “to set free”. Exodus describes Israel’s bondage in Egypt and the wonderful deliverance that God gave them. It presents many pictures of our salvation through Christ.
